2024 ELECTIONS: FULL SUPPORT FOR DR BAWUMIA URGED BY ASOKWA MP

Mrs. Patricia Appiagyei, Member of Parliament for Asokwa and Deputy Majority Leader has admonished New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters to fully back Dr. Bawumia and NPP parliamentary candidates in the upcoming elections in order to break the eight(8).

During a spirited rally at the Asokwa NPP Unity Walk on Sunday, May 5, 2024, Mrs. Appiagyei, affectionately known as Mama Pat, emphasized that the success of the NPP, under the steadfast leadership of Dr. Bawumia, hinges on unified support from the party faithful. She highlighted the dangers of the “skirt and blouse” voting pattern where voters may choose different parties for presidential and parliamentary races, stressing that such divisions could undermine the party’s strength and Dr. Bawumia’s transformative vision for Ghana.

“Voting for me without supporting Dr. Bawumia does not empower us to implement the change we envision,”

she declared, encouraging a vigorous campaign across communities to secure a decisive victory.

“With the NPP facing strong opposition, it’s crucial that every vote counts towards a holistic victory for the party and for national progress.”

Mrs. Appiagyei also pointed to the ongoing developmental projects in Asokwa, illustrating how these efforts could be sustained and expanded under continued NPP governance with Dr. Bawumia at the helm.

In support, Nana Ama Ampomaa, Ashanti Regional NPP Women’s Organiser, also urged constituents to vote for both Dr. Bawumia and local parliamentary candidates like Mama Pat. She noted the NPP’s track record of successful projects across the country and the importance of demonstrating these achievements to the electorate.

The Deputy Majority Leader further called on parents in the Ashanti Region to encourage their eligible 18-year-old children to register in the upcoming Limited Voter Registration exercise, ensuring they can participate in shaping Ghana’s future in the December 2024 polls. This collective effort, she concluded, is essential for continuing the momentum of national development initiated by Dr. Bawumia and the NPP.

The event, aimed at fostering unity, underscored the critical need for collective action to overcome the eight-year governance cycle.
