Managing Director for the InterCity State Transport Corporation (STC) ,Nana Akomea has urged Ghanaian voters who may be considering voting for former President John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming December 7 presidential elections to reconsider their decision.
Nana Akomea cautioned against the possibility of returning to Mahama, citing his poor performance while in office. Akomea reminded Ghanaians of what he referred to as Mahama’s “negative track record,” highlighting how he mishandled the economy, leading to his defeat in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.
This year’s election is significant as it marks the first time a sitting Vice President and a former President will be competing for the Presidency. Furthermore, both candidates come from the northern region, adding to the historical nature of the election, with some referring to it as the “Clash of the Northerners.”
However, according to Nana Akomea, the only viable option for Ghana is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He emphasized that Ghanaians have already witnessed the negative effects of Mahama’s regime, whereas Dr. Bawumia has proven his capabilities through his accomplishments, making him the best candidate to propel Ghana forward.
In an interview on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show Nana Akomea mentioned that Bawumia is the best to lead the country stating that Mahama is not the best option putting into consideration his track records.
If we are looking for an alternative, can it be Mahama? I don’t agree because his record is also bad, when it comes to the economy, corruption, employment and so forth…The only alternative is Bawumia.
