LET’S UNITE AND BREAK THE 8 TOGETHER – NANA AGYEI BAFFOUR AWUAH

Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah, the recently elected parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party for the Manhyia South constituency, emphasized the importance of unity among party members in the constituency to ensure success in the upcoming December elections.

In his victory speech following the primaries on Sunday, July 14, Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah expressed gratitude to the delegates for choosing him to replace Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

He stressed the necessity for party members to unite, work diligently, and rally behind the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, to secure victory. He also appealed to his opponents and constituents to forgive him if he had offended anyone before the primaries.

Let’s come together in unity and work hard to break the eight. We are coming to work hard this year to support Dr. Bawumia and his running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

The time has come for us to break the eight. We will not allow power to slip off our hands, not today, not tomorrow. Whatever means we have to use to remain in power, we will do. We will work hard, morning, day, and night to make sure that power does not go to the NDC.

The legal practitioner emerged victorious in the hotly contested election, securing 376 votes, while Nana Owusu Afriyie Prempeh, his closest contender, obtained 141 votes, which represents 26.82% of the valid votes cast.

Akwasi Coker Gyambibi received 2 votes, and James Owusu Boakye garnered 7 votes. The primary election was called for after Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, a four-time Member of Parliament, was nominated by the ruling party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as his running mate.
