On Friday, Dr. Bawumia began the second phase of his community engagement tour in the Eastern Region with a visit to the renowned Asesewa Township in the Upper Manya Krobo constituency, where he interacted with local stakeholders. Nene Agbonenarh IV, the Chief of Djadiam and Acting Divisional Chief of Asesewa, spoke on behalf of the Paramount Chief of the Klo State. He highlighted the significant achievements of the NPP government in the Upper Manya Krobo constituency, including the paving of the Asesewa market, the rehabilitation of the Koforidua to Abuoso road, and the extension of electricity to over 50 communities.
He also noted the upgrading of the Asesewa secondary school infrastructure, improvements to the Asesewa government hospital, the reconstruction of basic school blocks such as Akotokuroguaa, and other accomplishments. He expressed gratitude to the NPP government under President Akufo-Addo, noting that
We have benefited from government initiatives such as free secondary education, the national identification card, and support for individuals with disabilities. With these achievements and your digitization agenda, we are confident that the New Patriotic Party needs a successor to continue the governance of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Your experience clearly positions you as the ideal flag bearer of the NPP.
