DISREGARD MAHAMA IN ALL HIS MANIFESTATIONS AND APPROACHES – KWAMENA DUNCAN

Kwamena Duncan, the former Minister for the Central Region, has issued a warning to Ghanaian voters regarding the potential re-election of former President John Dramani Mahama, who leads the National Democratic Congress, in the upcoming December elections.

Duncan asserts that Mahama is unworthy of regaining power, particularly in light of his previous tenure. He referenced the unfavorable treatment Mahama afforded to the residents of his hometown during his presidency, questioning the likelihood of any meaningful improvements should Mahama return to office.

During an appearance on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ program, Kwamena Duncan recounted how Mahama, both as Vice President under the Mills administration and as President from 2012 to 2016, overlooked his hometown in the equitable distribution of national resources.

He couldn’t even say that, look, at least I must refurbished my own King’s palace; 12 years, first and foremost as Member of Parliament. It took Bawumia to go there to put that palace in shape. Also, just recently about 2/3 weeks, Bawumia has promised to give Bole an astro-turf and preparations are underway to get the astro-turf done in Bole. Only we could hear former President Mahama say he too wants to make contribution for an astro-turf there.

He cautioned Ghanaians against what he perceives as a potential error in re-electing Mahama as President.

Someone, his own backyard, first and foremost as a whole enclave, as a whole big portion of our country where he came from, he failed them abysmally. Narrow it down, zoom in to his constituency, he fails to do these very petty, petty small things and it takes another person to go there and after the person has gone there before he (Mahama) also decides to help. Then you say that you are going to the polls to cast your ballot for a person like this?

This country must reject him in all his forms and in all his manners!
