Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), has conveyed his optimism regarding the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) prospects of winning a majority of parliamentary seats in the forthcoming 2024 general elections.
Mr. Nkansah indicated that the NPP’s likelihood of success has been enhanced by the introduction of new candidates in constituencies where current Members of Parliament (MPs) have been viewed unfavorably.
In a Facebook statement dated Sunday, September 8, he articulated his conviction that the party’s choice to replace these MPs will significantly improve its attractiveness to voters.
He highlighted that several outgoing MPs had fallen out of favor with their constituents, resulting in a sense of discontent within their communities.
By nominating new candidates, he asserted, the NPP has shown its attentiveness to the electorate’s concerns. These new candidates, he contended, infuse the party with renewed vigor and foster a stronger connection to the grassroots, which will be advantageous for the party in the upcoming elections.
Furthermore, Mr. Nkansah underscored that the NPP’s approach of refreshing its candidate roster is in line with the party’s dedication to revitalizing its leadership and ensuring that its representatives genuinely reflect the electorate’s desires.
He remarked that the new candidates possess robust ties to their communities and are better equipped to meet the needs of their constituencies. This, he asserted, will likely result in heightened support for the party at the parliamentary level.
NPP is going to win the majority of seats in Parliament, partly because we have some fresh candidates to replace MPs who had become unpopular. You will be making a mistake if you use the 2020 Parliamentary results because some of the candidates have been changed,
