STOP THE INSULTS; IF YOU WIN, AKUFO-ADDO WILL HAND OVER POWER TO YOU – NAPO

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the vice-presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged former President John Mahama to refrain from using inappropriate language regarding the government, expressing concern that such rhetoric may stem from a fear of not relinquishing power following the elections on December 7.

Commonly referred to as Napo, he responded to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader’s assertion that thunder would strike anyone who fails to transfer power post-election.

While addressing constituents in Kumawu, Ashanti Region, during a grand durbar held in his honor at the chief’s palace, Napo deemed the remark unnecessary.

He emphasized that regardless of President Akufo-Addo’s preferences, he will indeed transfer power after completing his term.

The Chief of Kumawu, Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua, extended his congratulations to Napo on his selection as running mate, commending his commitment and service to the nation that has led to this recognition, and offered his unwavering support and prayers for the electoral ticket.
