A video circulating on social media features Chairman Wontumi encouraging Ghanaian youth to vote for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, if they desire high-paying jobs.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party stated that Dr. Bawumia has committed to providing graduates with job opportunities that will start at a base salary of GH₵ 8,000 if he is elected president on December 7, 2024
He added that student loans would be streamlined to enable graduates to repay them in installments using a Ghana Card.
Bawumia said if you vote for him, and he becomes president, you can use your Ghana card to apply to any university, and once you graduate, there will be a job waiting for you with a salary of GH₵8,000. The loans given to you will also have a flexible repayment plan in instalments
