YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT FOR OUR COMMUNITY REMAINS UNFORGETTABLE – AMENFI ZONGO TO DR. BAWUMIA

Residents of the Amenfi Zongo community in the Western Region expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Vice President and NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his generous assistance.

Dr. Bawumia visited Manso Amenfi in the Amenfi Central constituency on Sunday as part of his campaign tour in the Western Region. During his discussions with local stakeholders, the Zongo community reminisced about Dr. Bawumia’s prompt response to their appeal for the renovation of their mosque.

A representative from the community noted that Dr. Bawumia had previously visited them before the 2016 elections to garner their support. Following the NPP’s victory and his subsequent assumption of the Vice Presidency, he returned in 2018 to express his appreciation.

The spokesperson recounted that during this visit, the then Zongo Chief made a formal request on behalf of the community for Dr. Bawumia’s assistance in renovating their mosque.

A few days after he left, he sent someone to get the estimates for the project and just a few weeks after submitting the estimates, he sent us the money to undertake the project and today our mosque has been fully tiled and in a better shape because of your support.

I stand here on behalf of the Zongo community in Amenfi municipal to express our immense gratitude to the Vice President for his kind gesture.

It was the wish of our late Zongo Chief to meet you again to express our gratitude to you for your kind support but he is no more. That was his wish and since he is no more, we are doing that on his behalf and on our own behalf.

The Zongo community, in demonstrating their backing for Dr. Bawumia’s presidential campaign, also offered prayers for divine blessings. The event saw a strong presence from the Zongo community, featuring leaders such as chiefs, imams, elders, and women.
