President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need to consolidate the major gains achieved by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the years.
Highlighting the progress made in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic reforms under the NPP, President Akufo-Addo pointed out that Dr. Bawumia, a pivotal figure in these accomplishments, is the ideal candidate to build on these achievements.
Dr. Bawumia has played a key role in shaping the policies that have transformed Ghana. He is the right person to consolidate the NPP’s gains and lead the country to even greater success.
Akufo-Addo remarked.
The President made these comments at a durbar in Damongo during his tour of the Savannah Region last Monday, where he also expressed gratitude to the people for their support throughout his tenure and sought their backing for the NPP’s presidential candidate.
He described Dr. Bawumia as a visionary leader who understands the challenges and opportunities ahead and has the foresight to continue the NPP’s legacy of development, stability, and growth.
I have worked closely with Dr. Bawumia for 16 years and have no doubt about his competence. He has excellent ideas for the country’s growth and development.

President Akufo-Addo noted that the Savannah Region has experienced significant development since its creation, encouraging the people to give the NPP another term to bring even more progress.
The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, also expressed his appreciation to the President for initiating numerous developmental projects in the region, assuring him that the people of the Savannah Region would turn out in large numbers to support Dr. Bawumia in the elections.
