BENJAMIN YEBOAH SEKYERE PRAISES DR. BAWUMIA AS A VISIONARY LEADER FOR GHANA’S FUTURE

Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, the Member of Parliament for Tano South in the Ahafo region, has expressed his strong belief in Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia’s potential to guide Ghana towards a more prosperous future.

During an event held in Techimantia on Friday, 18 October, Sekyere characterized Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, as the most qualified individual to effectively manage the nation’s resources.

Sekyere underscored Bawumia’s proven record of implementing significant economic and social policies during his tenure as Vice President, asserting that his leadership would advance Ghana’s progress.

He called upon Ghanaians, especially his constituents, to make informed choices in the forthcoming elections scheduled for 7 December, stressing the importance of their votes.

Our destiny as a country lies in our thumps. Let’s vote prudently.

During the event, Sekyere presented 100 sewing machines and hairdryers to seamstresses and hairstylists in the Tano South constituency. He stated that this initiative was designed to foster entrepreneurship, enhance productivity, and generate employment opportunities.

He emphasized the importance of empowering local artisans and small business owners as a vital component of economic development and self-reliance.

Since 2017, Sekyere, in his capacity as Deputy Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, has actively supported initiatives aimed at uplifting his constituency.

In addition to the donation of sewing machines, he has financed the apprenticeship fees for over 2,000 residents, enabling them to acquire essential skills for success in the competitive job market.

At the presentation ceremony, Sekyere commended the NPP government’s dedication to job creation, quality education, and skills enhancement.

He underscored the party’s commitment to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), which he considers crucial for advancing Ghana’s technological and economic progress.

I believe in the potential of our artisans, more especially my revered women, saying that investing in them for socio-economic advancement is key for nation-building.
