Former PNC General Secretary, Atik Mohammed, has called on the government to adopt a “shoot-to-kill” policy to tackle illegal mining (galamsey) in the country.
During an appearance on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, Atik emphasized that the government must take a firm stance, asserting that it’s time to “stand for something.”
Galamsey continues to wreak havoc on the nation’s water bodies and environment, posing a serious threat.
Atik, along with the show’s host, Kwami Sefa Kayi, expressed strong support for this approach, believing it to be the only effective solution to halt the menace.
You should be sent home if caught on a water body… In every war situation, a 15% casualty rate is acceptable
let’s treat galamsey like armed robbery
