In a remarkable gesture, Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei, the New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Bekwai Constituency, knelt before traditional leaders (Nananom) and constituents, seeking their support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer, and himself.
Lawyer Poku-Adusei appealed to the constituents to vote overwhelmingly for Dr. Bawumia, reminiscent of the support shown for H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and H.E ex-President J.A. Kufuor in previous elections.
He underscored the NPP’s projects in the constituency and highlighted ongoing initiatives, stressing that only the NPP, under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, can complete these projects and initiate new developments for substantial progress.
This act has inspired hope that Bekwai will continue its tradition of decisive NPP victories since 1992, with Lawyer Poku-Adusei’s endearing nickname, “young wise counsel,” potentially influencing votes on December 7.
The appeal was made during the constituency’s “Bawumia Connect” event, attended by Nananom, heads of institutions, security services, health directors, imams, market women, and tertiary students at the Yegua Conference Hall in Bekwai.
The atmosphere was electric, as party supporters broke their usual Monday morning routine, showing up early despite weekend activities to rally behind their parliamentary candidate, flagbearer, and party.
