DR. BAWUMIA IS CLEAN AND READY TO LEAD – NAA TORSHIE ADDO

The Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo, has initiated a vigorous campaign in the Greater Region to garner support and secure votes for Vice President H. E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is aspiring to become the first Muslim President of Ghana and is regarded as the most suitable candidate among those running in the forthcoming elections.

The initial phase of the campaign has taken her to six constituencies, including Korle Klottey, Tema East, Ashaiman, Tema Central, Ledzokuku, and La Dade Kotopon.

While addressing constituents in the Korle Klottey and La Dade Kotopon constituencies, Hon. Naa Torshie conveyed Dr. Bawumia’s greetings to all attendees and articulated the importance of voting for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming elections.

She highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s integrity and his genuine commitment to the welfare of the Ghanaian people, particularly the youth, and encouraged voters to support all candidates from the New Patriotic Party.

Hon. Naa Torshie also reminded voters of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s clean and scandal-free record, emphasizing his preparedness to lead the nation towards greater achievements.

We are bringing to you Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, someone that the Lord has set aside and preserved for Ghana. This is a person who has no scandal attached to his name. He has never been implicated in any corrupt practices, nor has he insulted anyone.

Hon. Naa Torshie emphasized that significant progress has been achieved by the NPP government in revitalizing Ghana’s economy in the aftermath of COVID-19, asserting the necessity of Dr. Bawumia’s exceptional leadership in economic and financial matters to ensure this momentum continues.

She expressed that it is imperative not to allow another candidate the opportunity to reverse these advancements. Regarding the topic of religious tolerance, Hon. Naa Torshie reminded Ghanaians that the Constitution of the nation is inclusive of all citizens, not limited to Christians.

She stated that any individual born in Ghana, aged forty years or older, and of sound mind is eligible to serve as president, irrespective of their religious beliefs.

If you say you are a Christian and so you cannot vote for a Muslim to be president, then you are not practicing Christianity.

She emphasized the importance of considering the intentions of individuals aspiring to lead the nation, asserting that Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated the most commendable intentions for this role.

Additionally, she noted that Dr. Bawumia has a strong ability to connect with Christians and is poised to be a president for everyone, regardless of their background.

To support her argument, Hon. Naa Torshie pointed out that even in England, a predominantly Christian nation that brought Christianity to Ghana, there has been a Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, who practices Hinduism.

What matters most is a leader that has the interest of the people at heart and ready to serve and lead with integrity and make things happen for the people.
