Former Manhyia North Parliamentarian Collins Owusu Amankwah has urged Ghanaian voters to punish the opposition National Democratic Congress on election day.
Commenting on the current situation in Parliament, which has led to an indefinite suspension, he described the behavior of the members and the Speaker as “uncouth.
He noted that the longer Parliament remains suspended, the longer government business is delayed, which impacts the smooth administration of the country.
He urged the Speaker to reconvene Parliament immediately, emphasizing that it is not in the best interest of the House or the nation if the 8th Parliament fails to resolve its impasse.
In light of the Minority’s behavior and the Speaker’s defiance of the Supreme Court ruling to stay his order, Collins Amankwah advised Ghanaians to vote overwhelmingly for the New Patriotic Party and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He urged the electorate to ensure that the party secures a majority of the seats in the next Parliament.
Ghanaians must punish the NDC for what they have done
He asserted that “in any civilized democracy”, the “NDC is finished”.
