Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, has praised God for holding the top spot on the presidential ballot for the 2024 election.
Following two consecutive selections of the highly sought-after number by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegate at the Electoral Commission polling station, Dr. Bawumia was able to secure the top spot on the ballot.
During his meeting with the members of the Church of Pentecost, Breman Asikuma in the Central Region, Dr. Bawumia discussed the placement and explained that it was God’s plan.
“There are so many things men cannot do. But we believe God can do everything. There is nothing God cannot do,” Dr. Bawumia said. “So, whatever we do, we have to put our faith and trust in God. Once we put our trust in God, things will go well.” “Two days ago, we went for the balloting to select the order of the ballot for voting. We prayed to the Lord, and we believe that God listened to our prayers. God gave us the number one position, so we are grateful to God,” Dr. Bawumia noted.
Numerous accounts have detailed how Dr. Bawumia attained the top spot and was considered divine.
After the NDC objected to the process, the NPP delegate at the voting first selected the top spot. This caused confusion that persisted for thirty minutes.
The NDC’s suggestion for nullification was met with resistance by the NPP officials, but after a protracted and intense dispute, reason won out and the process was restarted with everyone satisfied.
The NPP representative unexpectedly selected the top spot once more, igniting discussions on the heavenly selection on social media.
