HAJIA SAMIRA BAWUMIA DRAWS MASSIVE CROWD IN EFFIA CONSTITUENCY, URGES SUPPORT FOR BAWUMIA’S PRESIDENTIAL BID

Effia, Western Region — The Second Lady of Ghana, Hajia Samira Bawumia, attracted a massive turnout in the Effia Constituency last Tuesday as she campaigned vigorously for her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), ahead of the upcoming general election.

Amidst enthusiastic cheers, the convoy of Hajia Samira was greeted by a large crowd as it made its way to the ‘Pipe Ano’ mosque, where she met with local Muslim leaders. Following her courtesy visit, the campaign moved to the Effiakuma Zongo area, gathering supporters at a location called ‘VIP.’

Addressing the energized crowd, Hajia Samira highlighted the importance of the upcoming election, describing it as critical to Ghana’s future. She urged voters to choose her husband, Dr. Bawumia, as the next president of Ghana, assuring them that he would continue the NPP’s legacy of development and progress.

Hajia Samira praised her husband’s leadership, experience, and innovative approach, emphasizing that his presidency would bring a brighter future for Ghana. “Dr. Bawumia is dedicated, competent, and visionary,” she said. “If given the nod, he will build on the NPP’s good works, including the transformative Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.”

As someone who grew up in a Zongo community, the Second Lady stressed the life-changing impact of education. She pointed to the Free SHS policy as a key NPP initiative that has benefited families across the nation.

“I was born and nurtured in the Zongo,” she noted. “Education made me who I am today, and the NPP wants every one of you in the Zongo communities to have the same opportunity.”

In addition to addressing the crowd, Hajia Samira dismissed claims from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the NPP is a party solely for Akans. She cited the inclusion of Muslims in high office under NPP administrations, stating that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership reflects the party’s commitment to diversity and unity.

“It is only under the NPP that Muslims have served as Vice Presidents. Insha Allah, on December 7, Dr. Bawumia will be the next President of Ghana,” she declared.

She concluded by expressing confidence that voters in the Zongo communities would choose Dr. Bawumia, not just because of his religion but because of his competence, vision, and dedication to Ghana’s development.

As the campaign heats up, Hajia Samira Bawumia’s visit has energized the Effia Constituency, setting the stage for a fierce electoral contest in the December general election.
