The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his dedication to addressing Ghana’s young unemployment issue.
At a rally in the Volta Region’s Kpando, Bawumia reaffirmed his bold ambition to generate one million jobs if elected president of Ghana.
His approach centers on giving the country’s young people the fundamental digital skills they need to succeed in the global economy, irrespective of their educational background.
Addressing youth unemployment is still Bawumia’s top concern, he said, adding that the solution to Ghana’s unemployment problem lies in giving young people the skills and information they need to access the expanding digital economy.
“All the youth, we need jobs. I am going to give one million youths digital skills in Ghana. Everybody, even if you are a school dropout, we can give you digital skills.
“You will stay in Kpando and work in America, in Germany, in Japan, in the UK, and in the US. Work right from here with your digital skills.”
