Nana Frimpong Ziega, a well-known media figure, has argued that it would be unfair to judge Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia based on the unfulfilled promises of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on Adom FM’s Entertainment Hall show with host Mike 2, Ziega explained that Dr. Bawumia should not be held accountable for promises made by President Akufo-Addo, as Bawumia is not the sitting president and has not created his own manifesto.
If we talk about past promises, it’s only fair to Bawumia because he isn’t the president. If he were seeking re-election with a new manifesto and hadn’t fulfilled previous promises, then we could discuss it. But for now, he is not the president, and those promises were part of President Akufo-Addo’s agenda,
Ziega explained.
His remarks came in response to concerns raised about the government’s inability to meet certain commitments from previous NPP manifestos.
