The Running Mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has asserted that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) only remembers the residents of Sefwi Suaman when elections are approaching.
He characterized the NDC’s affection for the region as insincere, claiming it is only displayed when they are in pursuit of political power. While addressing a rally in Karlo within the Suaman constituency of the Western North Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, commonly referred to as NAPO, labeled the NDC’s actions as a “disrespect” to the local populace.
He urged the Chiefs and constituents to resist the deceptive tactics of the NDC. Dr. Opoku Prempeh further contended that despite nearly three decades of loyalty to the NDC from the region, there has been minimal tangible progress to demonstrate this allegiance. He called on voters to reject the National Democratic Congress in the forthcoming elections on December 7.
Additionally, while speaking at rallies in Kaase and Debiso in Karlo, he highlighted the disparity between the region’s development and their unwavering support for the NDC.
He expressed confidence that the Suaman seat would be secured by the New Patriotic Party, as the community unites in their dedication to advancing the government’s initiatives, including Free SHS, power stability, new educational infrastructure, and Agenda 111, among others.
With unwavering conviction, they know that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the leader. Ghana needs in this defining moment of our history. They will not only campaign for him but will also turn out in massive numbers to vote for him. Through faith and hard work, Frederick Addy is headed to Parliament on the NPP’s ticket.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh reaffirmed the NPP’s dedication to supplying resources that promote responsible mining practices for small-scale miners. He encouraged the mining communities to support Dr. Bawumia in order to guarantee the implementation of effective measures.
The comprehensive plan to curb illegal mining is part of Dr. Bawumia’s vision for Ghana’s development.
