NDC SEATS UNDER THREAT – NAPO

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set its sights on capturing several significant parliamentary seats from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the elections scheduled for December 7.

The party has identified key targets, including the notable Asawase Constituency seat in the Ashanti Region, which has historically eluded the NPP.

This information was shared by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, commonly known as Napo, the NPP’s running mate, while he addressed party supporters in Kumasi on Sunday.

Napo asserted that several parliamentary seats, which the NDC regards as their stronghold, are expected to be won by the NPP in the upcoming national elections.

In addition to Asawase, the NPP aims to secure victories in the Sekyere Afram Plains, New Edubiase, and Ejura Sekyedumase constituencies within the Ashanti Region.

Napo, who serves as the running mate to the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, indicated that the party also intends to target NDC-held seats in other regions.

We have planned to snatch the Asawase, Sekyere Afram Plains and other key parliamentary seats from the NDC during the upcoming elections.

He urged party members and supporters to commit to diligent efforts, emphasizing that a united approach combined with hard work would lead to the NDC’s defeat.

Napo made these remarks during the official launch of the Ashanti Regional NPP Campaign Working Committees and Women’s Conference, which took place in Kumasi last Sunday.

He further encouraged voters to support Dr. Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates, asserting that this would allow the party to continue its positive contributions to the nation.

Napo criticized the NDC and former President John Mahama for their mismanagement during their time in office, which led to their rejection in 2016.

He stated that the NDC has no beneficial proposals for the country and its citizens, reiterating the importance of voters once again dismissing former President Mahama.

Under former President John Mahama and the NDC, the country was plunged into total darkness because of gross mismanagement and recklessness.

Napo stated that the poor leadership demonstrated by the NDC contributed to the failure of businesses across the nation, ultimately causing significant economic distress.

Why is John Mahama and the NDC looking for political power again after mismanaging the economy when they were given the chance to rule?

Is the NDC coming to promote dumsor or coming back to sack nurses and teachers to cause hardships again?” noting that “the NDC should remain in opposition for more years.
