The chiefs and people of Agric Nzema in the Kwadaso Constituency, led by Nana Akwasi Nkansah Boadu, have officially thrown their support behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he heads into the December 7 elections.
They believe he stands out as the best candidate among all others.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ engagement in Agric Nzema as part of Dr. Bawumia’s tour of the Constituency, Nana Nkansah Boadu reflected on the country’s past, saying,
We remember the darkness we endured for nearly four years. Ghanaians haven’t forgotten that.
However, he highlighted that since President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia took office nearly eight years ago, they have ensured consistent power supply, keeping the lights on for Ghanaians.
In addition to this, Nana Nkansah Boadu praised the government for a number of achievements, such as Free SHS, the Ghana Card, Agenda 111, and the restoration of allowances for trainee teachers and nurses, among other accomplishments.
Whether it’s roads, schools, or healthcare, they have delivered.
he said, applauding the leadership of President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia.
He also spoke highly of Dr. Bawumia’s humility, saying,
What stands out to me and my fellow chiefs is his humility. Everywhere he goes, you can see he was raised right.
Nana Nkansah Boadu went on to urge Ghanaians not to let a leader of such character slip away, quoting the popular saying,
Had I known, it always comes too late.
He praised Dr. Bawumia as the only Vice President in Ghana’s history who has not been tainted by corruption.
While acknowledging that chiefs in Ghana do not engage in politics, he stressed,
A chief may not do politics, but when you see something good, you must speak up. And this is something good.
He firmly declared that he and all the chiefs of the area were backing Dr. Bawumia, stating,
We believe in supporting what’s right for the country.
He concluded by emphasizing,
I can assure you, everyone here will vote for Dr. Bawumia because we won’t let such a good thing slip away. On December 7th, God will crown him as the winner,
Nana Nkansah Boadu confidently declared.
Dr. Bawumia expressed his deep gratitude to the chiefs, the people of Kwadaso, as well as the Imams, Zongo chiefs, and Christian leaders, for their unwavering support. He assured them that he would not let them down when he became president, vowing to fulfill the promises he has made to the people of Ghana.
