PERFORMANCE TRACKER: THE AKUFO-ADDO/BAWUMIA GOVERNMENT HAS APPROVED 13,000 PROJECTS AS OF NOW – OPPONG NKRUMAH

Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has stated that newly created Performance Tracker is intended to provide accountability and transparency in the implementation of infrastructure projects across the nation.

Honorable Oppong Nkrumah noted that the initiative will put to rights long-standing issues with project presentations’ dependability and correctness, particularly with regard to the usage of artists’ impressions to represent results.

Speaking at the Official launch of the Performance Tracker, at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Oppong Nkrumah revealed that the tracker currently houses more than 13,000 projects around the country. He indicated that the tracker is an upgraded form of the Delivery Tracker, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia unveiled in 2020.

As of June 2023, there are over 13, 000 projects across the 261 districts, across the 16 regions, across the 28 ministries that have been validated and updated on this platform.

He stressed further that the Performance Tracker includes a broad range of projects, such as service delivery and infrastructure efforts, that have been verified throughout all sixteen regions of the nation. He mentioned that as of June 2023, the most current data on the site is available.

Oppong Nkrumah emphasized on the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government’s continual efforts to update the Performance Tracker, with data contributions from multiple ministries and organizations stretching past the June 2023 deadline.

The performance tracker is a database that showcases the performances of the government of Ghana and it is going to show you the various projects that have been executed across the country. This database has two interfaces; a website and an application. Today the mobile phone is very powerful too and sometimes even beyond what your desktop can do. It showcases the performances of Ghana across the 267 districts and the 28 ministries and the 16 regions.
