THE BONO EAST REGION DEMONSTRATES UNWAVERING SUPPORT FOR BAWUMIA

Thousands of residents, from various age groups and social backgrounds, have shown an extraordinary level of support by rallying behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

They have expressed their endorsement for his candidacy as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 2024 elections. This enthusiastic backing coincides with Vice President Bawumia’s commencement of the second phase of his campaign tour in the Bono East Region, a strategically significant area in Ghana’s political arena.

Vice President Bawumia conveyed his appreciation to the residents of the Bono East Region through a sequence of Facebook updates, complemented by vivid visuals that showcased their enthusiastic backing.

I had an exciting tour of the Bono East Region yesterday. The love, cheers, inspirational words, and chants of support from the young and old across were super amazing. I cannot thank you enough, the people of Bono East Region. Let’s forge together, like never before, for a historic victory in December. It is possible!

Throughout his visit, Vice President Bawumia interacted with different sectors of society, such as the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs, where he conversed about his goals and strategies for Ghana. Commending the significant role of the traditional leaders, he stated,

I’m grateful to the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs for their time this afternoon in Techiman, as we held discussions on my vision and policies for our country Ghana. The contributions of Nananom were really inspiring.

Vice President Bawumia, in his ongoing efforts to engage with the community, held a meeting with clergy, imams, and Zongo Chiefs in Techiman. During this gathering, he presented his vision for the nation and eagerly welcomed input from the religious and community leaders. After the interaction, he conveyed his appreciation for their participation.

I am pleased with the fruitful interaction we had, as it afforded me an opportunity to share my vision for Ghana and also receive some suggestions. I am grateful to the clergy, imams, and the Zongo Chiefs for their encouraging words and prayers.

The Vice President Bawumia’s increasing popularity is evident in the strong support shown by the people of the Bono East Region. This support not only emphasizes the significance of the region in shaping Ghana’s political landscape but also boosts the momentum of the Vice President’s campaign as the December polls approach. The unwavering backing of the Ghanaian populace continues to fuel his campaign.
