THE FUTURE OF GHANA WILL IMPROVE WITH MY HUSBAND IN LEADERSHIP – SAMIRA BAWUMIA

Last Tuesday, the Second Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia, attracted a significant audience in the Effia Constituency of the Western Region as she campaigned for her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The enthusiastic supporters accompanied the Second Lady’s convoy to the mosque at ‘Pipe Ano’ within the constituency, where she paid a courtesy visit to local Muslim leaders.

Subsequently, they convened at a location known as ‘VIP’ in Effiakuma Zongo. In her address to the crowd, the Second Lady asserted that Ghana’s future would be brighter with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as president.

She urged the residents of the Effia Constituency to cast their votes in large numbers for Dr. Bawumia and Lawyer Isaac Boamah Nyarko, the party’s parliamentary candidate for the area, in the forthcoming general election.

She emphasized that this year’s election is pivotal for the nation’s future and progress, noting that the NPP flagbearer has demonstrated his suitability for the role.

The Second Lady stated that Dr. Bawumia would continue the positive initiatives of the NPP government if elected by the citizens in the December 7 elections.

She highlighted her husband’s extensive experience, commitment, competence, and innovative approach. Additionally, she praised the government’s various social programs, such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative, which have positively impacted nearly every household in the nation.

I was born and nurtured in the Zongo, and if it had not been for education, I would not have been where I am today.

So the NPP wants every one of you in the Zongo communities to be like Hajia Samira Bawumia, hence the introduction of the free SHS.

She refuted the claim made by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) exclusively represents the interests of the Akans.

Remember it has been only in the era of NPP government that the country had seen Muslims becoming Vice Presidents and Insha Allah come December 7, Dr. Bawumia will be the next President.

I believe strongly that the Zongos will vote massively for Dr. Bawumia not because he is a Muslim, but because he is very competent, knowledgeable, has a good heart, great love and a vision to transform the country.

Isaac Yaw Boamah Nyarko, the parliamentary candidate for the NPP in Effia, characterized Dr. Bawumia as exceptionally humble and diligent, commending him for his numerous digitalization efforts.

He pledged to convert the constituency into a bastion of support for the party in the upcoming 2024 general election.

I believe Effia has the potential of giving not less than 70 percent of the total votes cast to the NPP come December 7 this year.
