The State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA) Director-General, John Boadu, has endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer position.
In an interview on The Probe with Emefa Apawu on Joynews, he mentioned that Dr. Bawumia is the best candidate to lead the party and the country, stating that the party is in a good position and is putting measures in place to win the election.
Our main job is to win the elections. We have a good candidate, we have a very good party structure.
He admitted that the country is in a difficult situation and as such the party needs to put mechanisms in place to effectively communicate their policies to the people, stressing that it is important to bring to the notice of the public all their great accomplishments.
It is how to develop our message in such a way that Emefa and other people will appreciate that, yes there are challenges, we are going through challenges as a country, just as all other countries are going through. But within the challenges we have been able to chalk these achievements with the kind of resources that we have.
He argued that the incumbent has achieved a lot and cannot be compared to other governments.
Nobody should shy away from debating the fact that the New Patriotic Party, in terms of achievement has done so much and I don’t there is any party in this country that has been able to do that.
