We\u2019ve seen leaders including former president Mahama make worst comments and he hasn\u2019t even had the course to think that he has to come and apologise so that alone is leadership and maturity that he has shown.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\nOn July 9, at the unveiling ceremony in Kumasi for Dr. Opoku Prempeh, he stated that no president has advanced the nation as much as President Akufo-Addo, not even Ghana\u2019s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that Nkrumah\u2019s time in office resulted in fewer achievements compared to President Akufo-Addo\u2019s. Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s remarks received considerable criticism, leading him to apologize after initially standing by his statement.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Kofi Bentil, Senior Vice President of IMANI-Africa, criticized Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s comments regarding Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, deeming them politically inappropriate.<\/p>\n
Bentil argued that these statements were disrespectful to the legacy of the esteemed leader, suggesting that Dr. Prempeh’s remarks only served to benefit his political opponents.<\/p>\n
