Professor Kingsley Nyarko, the Deputy Minister for Education responsible for Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET), has urged tertiary students to support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
He stated that the NPP has superior policies and initiatives aimed at supporting the education sector, which would benefit tertiary students nationwide.
Prof. Nyarko, who also serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso, made this appeal during the matriculation ceremony at Kwadaso Agricultural College, where 410 students were inducted into various Diploma and Higher National Diploma programs.
The MP emphasized the Party’s commitment to offering easier access to student loans, which, according to him, would be available to all tertiary students, regardless of their institution or field of study.
The NPP has a track record of implementing policies that support education, including fee-free education at the Secondary level, restored allowances for teacher and nursing trainees, and the abolition of utility bills for students in the tertiary institutions
Prof. Nyarko believes that by voting number one, tertiary students can ensure a brighter future for themselves and play a significant role in Ghana’s development.
