2024 POLLS: AKUFO-ADDO ASSERTS THAT MAHAMA CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH GHANA’S FUTURE

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has raised concerns about the leadership abilities of National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama.

He warned that Mahama’s return to power could jeopardize important national policies, including the Free Senior High School (SHS) program.

While addressing the chiefs and people of the North-East Region, President Akufo-Addo cautioned that voting for Mahama and the NDC in the upcoming December 7 elections could threaten the continuation of his government’s vital initiatives.

He cited recent comments made by Mahama as evidence that the NDC leader might eliminate the program if elected.

Akufo-Addo urged Mahama to clarify his stance on the Free SHS policy, emphasizing that Ghanaians deserve transparency regarding a program that has benefitted countless students across the country.

Let’s ask him [Mahama], which is which? What should Ghanaians believe is your true stance? Because this constant back and forth is difficult for some of us to understand

What should we trust? Are you going to alter it? Cancel it? Improve it? Because every time you speak, it’s something different. I don’t believe someone who speaks this way, and seeks the highest office of our nation, can be trusted
