Under the Great Speech, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia outline several policies and initiatives designed and tailored to tackle all the sectors in the country. These Bold Solutions will seek to address the issues and problems in the country serving as lasting Panacea Ghanaians have been waiting for. Under the Social Development sector, Dr. Bawumia outlined these four unique initiatives to tackle the issues affecting the sector.
1.Expand infrastructure at medical schools and improve human capital development
This policy seeks to establish and expand more infrastructure at the various media schools and drastically improve human skills, knowledge and investment enabling them to realize their potential as productive members of society.
2.Introduce digital platforms for artists in tourism and creative arts
This policy will aid in the introduction of various digital platforms to help our Ghanaian artists with their songs and videos while promoting the tourism and creative arts industry.
3.Tax incentives for film producers and musicians
Tax incentives will be provide for film producers and musicians to encourage them to spend less in their operations. This will reduce the tax burden of musicians and film producers giving them some reliefs with regards to tax.
4.Collaboration with the private sector, we will train at least 1,000,000 youth in IT skills, including software developers to provide job opportunities worldwide.
This policy seeks to reduce the rate of unemployment by training 1,000,000 youth in IT skills, software development in order to gain knowledge, understanding and the required skills to be creative in establishing their own business and also giving them equally opportunity in the global market with the youth in the advance countries.
