Communications Director for Dr. Bawumia’s Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has disclosed that flagbearer Dr. Bawumia will implement one student one laptop policy for Tertiary students.
According to Mr. Aboagye, in addition to the various educational policies for the good people of Ghana, Dr. Bawumia will also enact another education policy to aid students in their studies. He mentioned the one student one laptop policy as another initiative by Dr. Bawumia to ensure that tertiary students get access to learning equipment that will make learning easy and simple for them and this would be possible through a zero interest loan with a 70% price cut.
Dr. Bawumia will also implement one student one laptop policy for Tertiary students through the provision of zero interest loans with a 70% discount on the cost of the laptops (payable over 4years) for Tertiary students.
Additionally, he mentioned that in the quest to digitalize the education system, Dr. Bawumia’s policies will see to the introduction of coding and robotics standards in the Senior High Schools, stating that the one student one tablet initiative is the basis for this project.
In the light of the new path in IT, the Presidency of Dr. Bawumia, God willing 2025, would also make coding and robotics standard in Senior High Schools. The foundation has been laid with the ongoing provision of tablets to SHS students.
