NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Yendi, Honorable Farouk Mahama, has restated his diligence to partnering with all party members in their quest to ensure victory for Dr. Bawumia and the party and in the upcoming December 7th general Elections.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, April 10, following the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) declaring him as the parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Honorable Farouk disclosed his main goal of ensuring the party keeps hold of its seat in Yendi, giving no chance for anything less. He urged party members and the people of Yendi to set aside any misunderstand and focus on making sure Dr. Bawumia and the NPP wins the upcoming elections
I am grateful for the decision, and I am committed to working with all and sundry to deliver yet another landslide in the 2024 General Elections.
He acknowledged the party leadership, President Akufo-Addo, and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Mr. Mahama endorsed their ingenious counsel and enlightenment for the courteous resolve of issues arising from the parliamentary primaries held on Saturday, January 27.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the National Executive Committee, His Excellency, the President, and the Vice President for their counsel, direction, and wisdom throughout this process. Their leadership and guidance have been invaluable, and I am truly grateful for their unwavering commitment to the success of our party.
He expressed furtherance of conciliation and unification to all party faithful’s, former parliamentary aspirants, party members, and supporters, beseeching them to come together for the common interest of the party.
I also want to extend a hand of reconciliation and unity to all party stalwarts, former PC aspirant, party members, and supporters. We may have battled fiercely, but it is only because we love our party and constituency deeply, and we care so strongly about its future.
The NPP officially named the incumbent Yendi MP, Farouk Aliu Mahama, as its parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections.
