Vice President and Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has assured the Zongo community of government’s commitment to developing the various communities.
Speaking during the Eid Celebration at the Central Mosque in Kumasi, Dr. Bawumia emphasized on the fact that the government is devoted to developing the various Zongo communities, and that no community will miss out on the government development plan.
He disclosed that, the government development agenda is an all inclusive initiative that seeks to develop the nation and such every community in the country will benefit from this initiative.
On this special day, let me also reiterate our government’s commitment to inclusive development of our nation, a policy which has ensured that no group or community has been left to hang in our development agenda across the nation in the past seven years.
He expressed delight with the progress of the Zongo Development Fund, an initiative he disclosed has produce effective outcomes with regards to several infrastructure projects across the country.
For the Zongo community, I’m happy to say that our decision to establish a special development vehicle, the Zongo Development Fund, has yielded impactful results with a number of infrastructural projects, Over 2oo of them, across the country.
Dr. Bawumia also preached peace, tolerance and unity among Ghanaians, urging them to promote unity and togetherness as the elections draws near.
