The Asante Patriots Network-Diaspora, a pro-NPP group, has cautioned flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, regarding his final selection of a running mate for the upcoming presidential election on December 7.
The group in a statement emphasized the significance of choosing the right running mate in order to achieve their party’s goal of breaking the eight-year cycle. They also expressed concern about certain approaches being employed by potential running mate candidates.
We, the Asante Patriots Network-Diaspora (APN-D), are saddened by the attempts by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to use some constituency officers in the Ashanti Region to influence the selection of running mate by our Flagbearer, HE Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
The group further expressed their disapproval towards the practice of bribing constituency executives in order to secure an endorsement.
The shameless desperation of paying monies to constituency executives to endorse him for the position is something that needs to be condemned by all, and we are surprised people are quiet in Ghana.
The group advised Dr. Bawumia to resist any kind of pressure when selecting his running mate.
