More than 6,000 individuals who previously supported Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, an Independent Presidential Aspirant from the Movement for Change, have expressed their intention to vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming presidential election.
The group disclosed that Dr. Bawumia’s innovative proposals highlighted in his speech on 7th February were the reason they recognized him as the most suitable candidate to spearhead the country’s transformation. They believe that Dr. Bawumia possesses a forward-thinking mindset, and his strategies are specifically designed to drive the progress and evolution of the nation
It has become unarguably clear, that amongst all the Political Leaders, Dr. Bawumia has so far been the one who has clearly articulated the Ghana story, where we have come from, what we have been able to achieve so far, the challenges therein, admitted to the shortfalls and most importantly has communicated his solutions to the challenges confronting us as a country. Even more inspiring is his ability to move the entire nation to visualize the Ghana he dreams of. His bold solutions as elaborated on in his speech enable every citizen to visualize the future he wants for all of us and it is one that as young people, we believe we want to be part of.
They also indicated that their departure from the party to back Alan Kyerematen was motivated by their desire to build a Ghana that is globally competitive and empowers the youth to excel on the international stage. They reiterated that this is their main objective, and it is undeniable that Dr. Bawumia is the leader best suited to steer the country towards fulfilling these aspirations.
He understands where we have come from, he understands what we need to do, he understands what has been done, he understands the shortfalls and he has a clear plan to move us into the future despite the obvious and unavoidable challenges.
