AKUFO-ADDO AND BAWUMIA TO ATTEND NPP’S FINAL RALLY : EJISU BY-ELECTION

On April 28, 2024, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled a concluding community durbar and rally in Ejisu, located in the Ashanti region. This event is in preparation for the upcoming by-election on April 30.

During the rally, both President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who also serves as the NPP flagbearer, will make a notable appearance.

Additionally, NPP Chairman Stephen Ayesu Ntim, along with other party executives and influential members, will be present at this gathering.

The zonal sessions at Fumesua and Kwaso, scheduled for 1pm and 3pm respectively, will precede the grand durbar at 5pm in Ejisu. The Ejisu-Bonwire station will be the venue for the Ejisu edition.

The by-election in Ejisu has been called due to the unfortunate passing of Dr John Ampontuah Kumah, the sitting MP and Deputy Finance Minister, on March 7. The Electoral Commission (EC) has already approved six candidates who are vying for the seat.

While former MP Kwabena Owusu Aduomi is determined to win the seat as an independent candidate, the NPP’s candidate, Kwabena Boateng, seems to have a favorable position.
