Keta Football Club (Keta FC), a local Division Two Football Club, has urged Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to ensure that his promise of constructing 100 Astro turfs benefits all regions.
Keta FC emphasized the immense importance of sports in society, highlighting that it goes beyond physical benefits. They emphasized that sports play a crucial role in instilling discipline, teamwork, and resilience in our youth, equipping them for the challenges they will face in life.
However, the club pointed out that many communities, particularly in rural areas, lack proper sports infrastructure, which hampers the potential growth of talented individuals.
The Keta-Anlo Sports Complex has the potential to transform this narrative. With Vice President Dr Bawumia’s commitment to sports development, now is the time to rally behind this project and ensure its success.
General Secretary of the Keta Sports and Game Center, Franklin K Denu mentioned that the addition of the Keta-Anlo Sports Complex to the roster of Astro Turfs planned for construction nationwide will provide the youth of Keta and surrounding areas with the opportunity to actively pursue their athletic aspirations.
By including the Keta-Anlo Sports Complex in the list of Astro Turfs to be built across the country, we can empower the youth of Keta and neighboring communities to pursue their sporting dreams.
