Kinglsey Amoakwa-Boadu, a private legal practitioner and member of the communications team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasized that the upcoming 2024 election will feature a candidate who has no prior experience as President, facing off against another candidate.
He stated that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, has not yet held the position of president, whereas the flagbearer of the NDC is former President John Dramani Mahama.
He mentioned that if Dr. Bawumia emerges victorious in the elections, he will have a total of 8 years to work on developing Ghana, while Mr. Mahama will only have a four-year term. According to him, Dr. Bawumia is in a more favorable position to secure victory in the elections.
In response to a statement by Sammy Gyamfi, Communications Officer for the opposition on the Key Points on TV3, he mentioned that Ghanaians are considering an individual who is new to the situation, compared to someone who has previous experience and has been president for four years.
