Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the communications director for the campaign team, has stated that the Ghanaian voters are slowly embracing the door-to-door campaign conducted by Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Bawumia commenced his door-to-door campaign in Dome last week, where the market women greeted his campaign team with cheers and a warm welcome.
During an interview with Benjamin Offei-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Monday (6 May), Aboagye emphasized that the party is giving utmost importance to the door-to-door campaign over any other form of campaign.
If you see Dr Mahamudu Bawumia seated on someone’s bench in his house, that is what he is doing. If you see him in somebody’s shop, that is what he is doing, he is giving them the message.
He stressed that Dr. Bawumia will not cease as it remains an enduring characteristic of his campaign, stating that they are allocating a significantly greater amount of time to door-to-door efforts than to any other aspect.
He is not going to stop. It is a permanent feature of his campaign. In fact, we are placing a lot more weight in terms of time we are going to spend on the door-to door than we are placing on any other.
