During a recent campaign visit, Dormaahene strongly recommended Vice President Bawumia to broaden his search for a running mate by considering candidates from either the Bono or Bono East regions.
Dormaahene emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the selection process, highlighting that neglecting these regions could lead to a decline in support. He pointed out that both regions are home to capable individuals with exceptional leadership skills, such as Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, Mahama Afful, and Nana Obiri Boahen.
By choosing a running mate from these areas, Dormaahene believes that not only will development be accelerated in Dormaa and Bono East, but also the party will gain significant backing from the local populace.
He expressed confidence that selecting a running mate from Bono East would be a strategic move to advance the interests of the regions and the party as a whole.
In addition to the political advantages, Dormaahene highlighted that this decision would promote unity and progress across the nation. Nevertheless, he made it clear that he would fully support the party’s decision regarding the choice of running mate.
