The Vice President of Ghana and the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia commenced his campaign tour in the Savannah Region today.
The tour aims to consolidate support and address local concerns, beginning with a significant meeting with local Imams, and underlining the importance of religious leaders in the socio-political landscape of Ghana. His approach to direct interaction with community leaders and citizens reflects a hands-on leadership style that has been a hallmark of his political career.
Dr. Bawumia was greeted with traditional music and dance, an homage to the rich cultural heritage of the Savannah Region. The Vice President discussed several key initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents in the Savannah Region, focusing on education, healthcare, and economic development. Dr. Bawumia also took the opportunity to outline his vision for Ghana’s future, promising to build on the foundations laid during his tenure as Vice President.
The campaign tour began from the Eastern Region and is now in the Savannah Region. Dr. Bawumia is on a door-to-door campaign to solicit votes for the upcoming general elections in December. The campaign gives the grassroots the platform to share the concerns they encounter as citizens in the country.
