THE LATEST 2024 ELECTION SURVEY HAS DR. BAWUMIA LEADING JOHN MAHAMA

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emerged as the most preferred candidate in the upcoming December presidential elections, according to the latest survey.

The survey, conducted by Associate Professor Smart Sarpong from Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), covered all 275 constituencies across Ghana’s 16 regions.

The survey results indicate that Dr. Bawumia is currently leading the field of preferred candidates with 38.9% support, while former President John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), follows closely with 36.1% support.

Furthermore, the survey reveals that former President Mahama leads in eight regions, namely Bono East, Greater Accra, Volta, Northern, Oti, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West.

On the other hand, Dr. Bawumia leads in seven regions, including Ashanti, Eastern, Ahafo, Bono, North East, Central, and Western. It is worth noting that the Western Region has yet to decide on its preferred candidate.

The survey also emphasizes that voters’ decisions will be influenced by the candidates’ track records, competence, and political affiliations, while religion and tribe will play a lesser role in determining the election outcome.
