Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is calling on the citizens of Ghana to choose him as their next President.
He emphasized his successful track record as Vice President, using it as evidence of his capability to lead the nation.
Addressing attendees at the Youth Connect event in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia highlighted his dedication and accomplishments, asserting that he has surpassed his predecessors in the role of Vice President during Ghana’s Fourth Republic.
He stated that his significant policy implementations and overall contributions distinguish him as the best candidate for the position.
My work speaks for itself. If you compare the various Vice Presidents under the Fourth Republic, you can tell that my work rate stands out. If you ask John Mahama to point out even one policy initiative he spearheaded as Vice President, he can’t. I have 33 policies I’ve spearheaded. So the score is 33-0. Please promote me to become president because I’ve excelled as Vice President.
Dr. Bawumia further emphasized his dedication to the citizens of Ghana in the long run, highlighting the disparity between his potential eight-year tenure and Mahama’s four-year term.
He asserted that his prolonged period in office would guarantee enhanced accountability, as he would continue to depend on the people’s mandate in 2028.
It is better to vote for someone who will be accountable than someone who has asked for a honeymoon even though he has just four years to be president.
