DR. BAWUMIA CALLS FOR IDEAS AND POLICIES TO DRIVE VOTER DECISIONS

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s Flagbearer, has called on Ghanaians to prioritize ideas, policies, and solutions from presidential candidates when choosing the next President.

“As we go to the December polls, let’s focus on ideas and solutions to our country’s problems. We coexist peacefully as Muslims and Christians and should not let these elections be about religion or religious differences,”

he emphasized.

Dr. Bawumia, speaking during the 2024 Eid Prayers at Black Star Square in Accra, stressed the importance of unity and focusing on candidates’ policies and ideas.

Seeking the National Chief Imam’s support and prayers for success in the polls, Dr. Bawumia underscored the need for tolerance to preserve the peace and stability of the nation during the December 7 election.

He urged Muslims to draw inspiration from the sacrifice and selflessness of Prophet Ibrahim to serve humanity with compassion and kindness. Reflecting on Eid-ul-Adha, Dr. Bawumia encouraged Muslims to follow Prophet Ibrahim’s example of obedience and sacrifice to God.

“Let us be inspired by his selflessness and sacrifice by caring for each other and pursuing worthy causes for the betterment of our families and communities,”

he stated.

Dr. Bawumia wished all Muslims Eid Mubarak and advised the youth to observe the festivities with modesty. He acknowledged the economic challenges the Akufo-Addo-led Government faces due to global events but noted that prudent measures are gradually reviving the economy.
