The Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia graced the 70th anniversary of the National Cadet Corps & Cadet Youth Parade at the Black Star Square on June 1, 2024, as the reviewing officer.
Dr. Bawumia underscored the significant role the Cadet plays and made the advocacy that it is time for various security agencies to take a critical look at unearthing brilliant talents from the National Cadet Corps and other sister volunteer youth groups by giving them some quota and the opportunity when it comes to recruiting and enlisting into the various security services.
The Vice President also expressed confidence in the youth of Ghana as they have done in the past will maintain the peace and stability of Ghana before, during, and after the 2024 General elections
