The five Paramount Chiefs of the Nadowli/Kaleo District in the Upper West Region have publicly endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership and vision for Ghana. Speaking on their behalf, the Chiefs of Nadowli, Takpo, Charipkong, Kaleo, and Sankana highlighted recent developments in the district, such as upgraded feeder roads, new bridges, and improved gravelled roads, which have boosted accessibility and economic activities.
In appreciation of these improvements, the Chiefs pledged strong support for the NPP presidential candidate, promising to vote in large numbers to uphold the current government’s achievements. This endorsement came during Dr. Bawumia’s constituency-focused campaign tour and engagements with traditional authorities in the Nadowli/Kaleo District.
We pledge the support of the chiefs and people of Nadowli Kaleo Constituency to vote in large numbers for you to become the President of Ghana. Dr. Bawumia expressed gratitude for their endorsement and reiterated his commitment to empowering traditional authorities by advocating for the amendment of Section 63 of the Constitution to grant them adjudicatory powers, thus enabling dispute resolution within palaces rather than courts.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a living wage for Paramount and Divisional Chiefs and their Queens under his presidency.
