Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), recently donated a pickup truck to the Hilla Limann Senior High School in Gwollu, located in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region.
This generous gesture was in response to a request made by the late Paramount Chief of Gwollu, Kuri Buktie Limann IV, for a vehicle for the school.
Dr. Bawumia fulfilled his promise during a government delegation visit to Gwollu for the funeral of Kuri Buktie Limann. During the presentation ceremony at the Gwollu palace, the Paramount Chief of Pulima, Kuoro Osman Deiwia Nankpa lll, conveyed his surprise at the promptness with which Dr. Bawumia honored his commitment.
Your recent pledge to grant the request of our late father and colleague, Kuoru Kuri Buktie Limann, to get a bus and a pickup for the Dr. Hilla Limann Senior High School is a testament to your commitment to grooming quality human resources for the benefit of our country.
I ask on behalf of our people, ‘What kind of a politician is this?’ You promised and you delivered. We are deeply touched and express the same here with elation.
Dr Bawumia, who also serves as the Vice-President, received praise from the chiefs for swiftly delivering on his promise to supply a pickup vehicle to the sole senior high school in the district.
