FORMER MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT BECOME PART OF THE BAWUMIA CAMPAIGN

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs have united to reaffirm their unshakable support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer, in the next presidential and legislative elections.

The previous legislators, who held a variety of parliamentary positions, have promised to support the Flagbearer wholeheartedly and put in great effort to secure the party’s triumph and end the eight-year electoral cycle.

In a statement released and signed by the Chairman of the Caucus, Ben Ayeh, stated that on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, the leadership of the former MPs’ zonal and regional coordinators convened for the first time to establish procedures and specify their roles prior to, during, and following the general elections of 2024.

During the meeting, Ben Ayeh, the former MP for Upper Denkyira West, led the National Coordinators in encouraging his colleagues to unite in showing their support for the party’s success.
According to him, the former MPs are confident that together, we can achieve greatness and have faith in Dr. Bawumia’s vision and leadership.

The following Regional/Zonal Coordinators will support them, according to the statement: ASHANTI ZONE, Kofi Jumah & SK Boafo, BRONG AHAFO: Adjei Darkoh and Adjei Yeboa.

The remaining sectors are: NORTHERN, which includes Sagre Bambangi & Somed Ganu; UPPER EAST, which includes Adongo Fuseni; WESTERN, which includes Albert Obbin & Alex Agyekum; CENTRAL, which includes Nana Ato Arthur & Joe Hackman; EASTERN, which includes Eric Darfour & James Appeatu-Ankrah; GREATER ACCRA; and VOLTA, which will be led by Niibi Ayi Bontey and Fuseini Issah.

In order to secure a decisive win for the NPP, the statement went on,

The group emphasized their dedication to mobilizing grassroots support, engaging sitting MPs, current and former Ministers, party officers, fostering unity, and leveraging their collective experience.

They also exhort Ghanaians and party members to join us in this wonderful endeavor. By working together, we can break the eight and ensure that our country has a better future. Ben Ayeh, the Chairman of the NPP Former MPs Caucus, emphasized in the statement that

it is possible.
