The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, voiced concerns about the potential discontinuation of important infrastructure projects if Mahama were to return to power

The Sofoline project is a clear example of what happens when the NDC comes to power. It was started under President Kufuor but was abandoned by the NDC. The same fate will befall the Suame Interchange if Mahama is elected

The Suame Interchange is a project initiated by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has provided assurances that the first phase of the Suame Interchange project will be finished by the end of 2024. He disclosed that construction has already commenced on the main interchange component of the project.

Chairman Wontumi’s remarks underscore the need for consistent leadership to ensure the completion of important infrastructure projects in the Ashanti Region. He urged voters to support Dr. Bawumia to avoid the risk of project abandonment and ensure that critical infrastructure initiatives continue to progress for the benefit of the region.

I urge Ashantis to instead vote for Dr. Bawumia to ensure the continuation of road projects in the region.

Chairman Wontumi stressed that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership is crucial for the uninterrupted development of infrastructure in the Ashanti Region.
