DR. BAWUMIA DESERVES TO BE REWARED BY UPPER EAST – AMIN ADAMS

Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has urged the people of the Upper East Region to show their support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), by casting their votes for him in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

He highlighted that historically, the region has leaned towards the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and encouraged the residents to come out in large numbers to vote for Dr. Bawumia on December 7th, so that the NPP can carry on with its beneficial social programs.

Upper East must change this time, you have to vote for one who brings you development.

Dr. Adam addressed the residents of the Binduri Constituency in the Region during his participation in the flagbearer’s Constituency-focused tour.

The NDC has historically received strong support from the Upper East Region in both Presidential and Parliamentary elections. In the 2020 elections, the NPP managed to secure only one Parliamentary seat out of the 15 seats in the Region, which was the Binduri Constituency.

During a four-day campaign tour of the Region to rally for votes, Dr. Bawumia was joined by various government and former government officials, as well as party executives.

Notable attendees included Mr. Dominic Nitiwul, the Minister for Defence, Mr. Ambrose Dery, former Minister for the Interior, and Alhaji Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, the Regional Minister, among others.

The Finance Minister, who also serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Karaga Constituency, stated that the voting behavior in the Northern Region had shifted in support of the NPP, and encouraged the Upper East to follow suit.

Upper East must also follow, so that we will demonstrate to the NDC people that enough is enough, we want Dr Bawumia to move our Region forward so that the North will no longer be considered as the most deprived area in Ghana.

Dr. Bawumia informed the enthusiastic audience that it was by God’s wisdom that two individuals from the northern region were able to serve as President of the nation.

He also mentioned that the NDC’s flagbearer had previously held the position of President, therefore implying that he too should be given the chance.

Abdulai Abanga, the Member of Parliament representing the Binduri Constituency, highlighted the progress made in the constituency through the efforts of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.

He urged his constituents to support his reelection as MP to sustain the momentum of development in the area.
